Without excess weight, with perfect balance, Williams enters 2025 with a winning, experienced driver. Alexander Albon is happy to be part of it!
Today the 2025 Williams was unveiled and immediately put on the track, and the feedback has been great:
"Everything is going well, and that was also evident on the track today. We've made great progress in terms of quality; the guys at the factory have done an excellent job. We can confidently say that the FW47 clearly represents a step forward. Last year, we lost a lot of time due to exceeding the weight limit, but we've improved the materials we used and the production quality, which puts us in a much better position. Our previous car was very weak in headwinds, and we've worked hard on that as well, as it often caused us headaches. The GPS data showed that we also suffered greatly in windy conditions.
We'll have to see where the competition stands, but overall I'm very optimistic. I want to see us develop further and get into a good position, but it's already a very good sign that we're actually operating as a top team. With the arrival of Carlos Sainz, we've taken a huge step forward; he's a huge asset to the team! Carlos had the best season of his life last year and delivered a sensational performance. He'll be a good benchmark for me; I can learn a lot from him, and I hope he'll learn from me too," said Alexander Albon appreciatively.
