The F1 competitors have had interesting and insightful days, from which it is very difficult to draw any sensible conclusions based on the tests in Bahrain.
The final day brought another interesting twist, particularly in terms of the weather, as the teams faced significantly milder and warmer conditions this time. There was no shortage of other incidents, too, with Lance Stroll missing the first few hours due to discomfort, a glass panel breaking at the grid position, and a bus driving onto the track causing a bizarre red flag period... The fastest lap of the morning belonged to Charles Leclerc, followed by Andrea Kimi Antonelli in second place, while Lando Norris still finished on the imaginary podium.
In the afternoon, the focus was on longer stages, but Max Verstappen nevertheless took the lead and held it until the final ten minutes of the test. Then came George Russell, who finally beat that lap time, but strangely enough, the best time of the three days wasn't that, but Carlos Sainz's result, achieved during yesterday's session. Different compounds, different tactics, power masking, that's for sure, as well as the development of McLaren and the progress of Williams. Predicting the rest is impossible.
