(Not so much) The McLaren boss made a surprising statement: Zak Brown believes Max Verstappen is spending his last year at Red Bull Racing. However, the boss of Lando Norris and Co. also made a surprising prediction...
According to Brown, Verstappen will not build a new career at the often-mentioned Aston Martin, but at another team:
"I think this will be his last season at Red Bull, and I'd bet on where he'll continue: Mercedes! I know a lot of people are talking about Aston Martin, especially since Adrian Newey moved there. But Adrian will need time to build the culture and team around him that will enable them to become title contenders. Max, on the other hand, doesn't like to wait... So I think Mercedes will be his choice. And actually, that would be a completely logical step. Mercedes is the most successful team of the last decade, which had a tough time last year but still won four races and is on the rise. They're well prepared for the 2026 rule changes, we know Toto Wolff is also very interested in Max, and on top of that, both of their drivers' contracts are expiring..." - Zak Brown ignited the Verstappen bombshell.
