No less than one billion pounds - the British press has revealed a truly impressive contract that would fall into the unbelievable category even if Max Verstappen did not receive all of this in a single season.
The report states that an annual salary of $200 million is planned, which in itself is an absolute record; no one has ever earned that much in a single season in Formula 1. The newspaper also believes it knows that the contract is long-term and will be further refined with substantial bonuses.
The issue is reportedly taken so seriously at Aston Martin that its CEO, Jefferson Slack, is already arguing in sponsorship negotiations that “if they get Max Verstappen”…

Aston Martin, of course, denies everything; their official position is a strict denial; they aren't looking for a new driver. Of course. Just as they weren't looking for Adrian Newey, and when it turned out they were, they didn't repeat the same stunt. Yes, they did! It's interesting to think about what happens if, for example, Red Bull Racing 2025 fails in its development without Newey, while things are getting sorted out at Aston.
We leave the rest to your imagination…
