Williams has presented its 2025 car, and Andrea Kimi Antonelli has completed his first kilometers in the 2025 Mercedes in Spain.
Preparation is also necessary because, despite the fact that Antonelli is perhaps the rookie with the most kilometers driven of all time (according to his team boss, he has already completed almost 30 racetracks and over 9,000 km), he hasn't looked convincing so far. The 2020 Mercedes W11, with camouflage livery, was used in the private test, and the fact that he could be the team's first rookie driver since 2010 demonstrates the great confidence in Antonelli.
The team sees him as a future world champion, even though he severely damaged Mercedes during his "debut" in the first free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix. Since then, he has already driven the current race car again in Mexico and also took to the track in Abu Dhabi.
