Ecclestone: „Hamilton wird nicht lange bei Ferrari bleiben…"

Bernie Ecclestone, the former head of Formula 1, has sharply attacked Lewis Hamilton. He believes it makes no sense for Hamilton to stay in Italy for an extended period.

This could have "some connections" to Scuderia Ferrari's traditions, as Maranello isn't exactly the place where Hamilton's stupid, celebrity-like actions will be appreciated. According to Ecclestone, it doesn't strengthen the British position either:

"His contract runs until 2026, but he won't fulfill it. Piero Ferrari brought him there and thinks he's done the team a favor. I hope he won't regret his decision. I hope they won't say they shouldn't have done it... One is age, the other is competitiveness. I think Lewis is actually already exhausted and not nearly as motivated as he used to be. If he didn't have a world championship title yet, the situation might be different; that would motivate him. But he already has seven. The other problem lies in his past actions.

He's done a lot of things that make him unlikable. I personally don't understand why someone as a world champion and a millionaire has to dress like that. I don't like it at all; it's inappropriate. I don't understand why he keeps doing such stupid things... Obviously, he's a talented driver, but he's very overrated," Ecclestone sharply criticized Hamilton.
