Yuki Tsunoda's situation, which was promising a few days ago, has turned into a drama today, as Red Bull Racing openly announced that they will let him go.
The latter was expressed by none other than Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing, the almighty and decision-maker:
"We are fully aware that if we cannot offer Yuki Tsunoda a chance to progress, I don't really see the point in keeping him. We couldn't promote him to the parent team, and we can't afford to keep him in our junior team for many more years. At some point, we will have to let him go so he can seek better opportunities. Of course, we cannot completely rule out the possibility that he still has a chance to progress, just as we cannot rule out the possibility that the Racing Bulls will be more competitive than in previous years.

I spoke with Yuki, and he's accepted this, remains motivated, and wants to show he's the guy who can get the most out of the RB. What we're doing is supporting them technically, and next year they'll also get our rear suspension and gearbox. I hope the team will continue to evolve and mature, and things can change very quickly... For example, would anyone have thought that in less than a year, Liam Lawson would be our driver in 2025? It's such a big deal, and he's aware of that; he knows he has to show he can be counted on," Christian Horner explained about Yuki Tsunoda.
If I were in Tsunoda's shoes, I wouldn't even wait until tomorrow for this team...
