Loic Serra has joined Scuderia Ferrari, and rumors say this will soon yield tangible and visible results. The Ferrari, coded 677, will be a completely new design and, theoretically, could be much more powerful at one-lap speed.
Serra has extensive experience in vehicle dynamics, which he hopes to incorporate into the 2025 red model. Rumor has it that the suspension elements, torsion bars, and dampers will be the main changes, with the goal being to allow the 677 to utilize the new Pirelli tires in the highest possible operating range. The goal is to reduce overheating and enable stronger single-lap phases through better tire management.

The 2024 car, the SF-24, had a good relationship with its tires in the races, but in qualifying, the drivers often struggled with grip and the difficult warm-up. This frequently meant that Scuderia Ferrari could only start from further back, even though the positions would have been achievable with power. The team led by Loic Serra has now intensively addressed this dilemma. The changes incorporated into the design of the 677 are aimed at changing Ferrari's fundamental behavior, and the first signs of this should be visible at the first check-in at Fiorano on February 19.
