Sergio Perez's place at Red Bull Racing is in jeopardy, and that's no secret. Names that could replace him are emerging daily, and now Christian Fittipaldi has put forward an interesting suggestion.
Former Formula 1 driver Fittipaldi believes that Oscar Piastri, who is Red Bull's second driver, could easily leave McLaren at the end of the season and take Pereza's place from 2025:
"As strange as it may seem, I think it's impossible that Oscar Piastri will leave McLaren at the end of the year and join Red Bull to take Perez's place. By then, Piastri might be a bit tired of supporting Lando Norris in the second driver role and switch under the influence of a sudden idea," Fittipaldi reflected.

It may sound crazy, but there's more to it than that. One possibility is that Piastri could get into the currently best car in the field and test himself against the best driver in the championship. Red Bull would gain a great driver while significantly weakening its main rival, McLaren. It's a thought-provoking idea!
