Lewis Hamilton is really starting to experience what it feels like and means to be a Scuderia Ferrari driver. The seven-time world champion was initially held in high regard, but these days, even the Tifosi are letting him down more and more often...
Where's all the pre-season hype, the sweet months, the carefree photoshoots? As for Ferrari, one increasingly hears the phrase "suffering, downward trend, then next year." Hamilton isn't surprised by this; he was prepared for it:
"I'm not surprised by what's happening right now. In a way, I expected it, after all, we're talking about the most historic team in F1 history. It's natural that we're more in the spotlight; more is being written, filmed, and thought about us; everyone has an opinion. It's not easy; getting to know each other doesn't happen overnight; we have to give each other time. We're developing, being active, trying to channel the passion and energy that has always distinguished Ferrari and that can propel us forward. Everyone in the team is putting their heart and soul into the project; we're riding this rollercoaster together, and I have no doubt that we'll ultimately achieve our goal," Lewis Hamilton said, summing up what he expects and how he feels.
