A quiet and uneventful day lies behind Scuderia Ferrari, and every serious F1 fan knows how great it is to be able to draw such a conclusion after the first day of testing a new car.
The Bahrain test is of particular importance to everyone involved, but if there's one person for whom it's more important than anyone else, it's certainly Lewis Hamilton. It's a good sign that not only he, but also Charles Leclerc, spoke very positively about the situation at the end of the first day:
"It's always great when you can complete a smooth day with a new car and not encounter any unexpected issues during your program. Of course, it's too early to talk about performance; we still have a lot of analysis to do and data to process overnight so we'll be smarter tomorrow," said Leclerc.
"Testing is exciting; I love this part of the year. It's the first moment where we can see where everyone stands, and we ourselves can see and feel what we might expect. Now, after just one lap, I can say that it was an incredible feeling driving the SF-25. At the moment, we're still experimenting, with the focus on collecting data and, of course, getting as familiar with the car as possible. But even after just one day, we've learned a lot, and I have a very good feeling!" Hamilton enthused.
