Spoiler alert: It certainly looks like that's going to happen. Let's not dwell on the fact that F1 is once again delivering its own parody with such a decision; let's focus on the essentials.
It just so happens that we're finally about to see a decision so foolish that, paradoxically, it could even be beneficial. The FIA recently announced on social media that they might bring back the once-popular V10 engines. At first, this all seemed like a ludicrous idea, as the series is already preparing to switch to more modern hybrid engines based on the soon-to-be-introduced synthetic fuels in the coming years . However, Formula 1's consistency shows that one thing is said yesterday and the opposite happens today, and this is no different in the engine department. So much so, in fact, that we can practically already say that one of the biggest surprises in the next major rule change will be the return of the V10. This has already been essentially confirmed by Nikolas Tombazis in a statement, but anyone who can't see beyond his words should wait for the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend or the announcement that follows.
