Few people know that Max Verstappen is not only active in Formula 1, but also has his own racing team, which has now signed a contract with Aston Martin.
Against the background of the well-known F1 rumors, this is quite interesting and can be seen as a strong approximation that Verstappen.com Racing will compete in the GT World Challenge Endurance series with the British manufacturer's racing car and its direct support.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the trio of Harry King, Thierry Vermeulen, and Chris Lulham. The latter will be particularly challenged, as the young driver comes from the simulation world and this will be his first race car to compete in reality. The Verstappen team has long supported the development of young drivers, but this will be the first time a driver from a virtual environment has been given the opportunity:
"I've always dreamed of helping young drivers one day, and I've been working on creating this opportunity for a simulator driver for some time. With Chris Lulham, whom I know well from the Team Redline simulation team, as well as Thierry Vermeulen and Harry King, we're taking on a new and exciting challenge. We'll be working with a professional team in a championship that presents a very serious challenge. There's still a lot of work ahead of us to get the best out of our cars and drivers, but our goal is clearly to fight among the frontrunners. We're looking forward to an exciting year!" said Max Verstappen, who absolutely cannot rule out the possibility of joining the team himself one day.
