McLaren has sent an unusually strong message, this time to its own drivers. Andrea Stella made it clear that any driver who doesn't support the team's interests won't stay with the team for long!
Stella did not hold back; the team boss does not want to see even a trace of the disputes that occasionally hampered McLaren's tactics last year:
"With us, there's no first or second place. Both our drivers will receive equal opportunities, and we're entering the new year with the same principles as last year. We're proud of our performance last year and also of our drivers' behavior and their positive cooperation. We've learned a lot from 2024, and that includes the human factor. We've been competitive, we'll remain competitive, and we can't afford to make mistakes, which requires continued close cooperation. We've all learned lessons from last year, and everyone will have the chance to prove themselves. However, it's important to emphasize that if someone doesn't believe in McLaren's principles, they're not the right person, let alone the right driver, for the team, and we'll part ways with them." - this is Stella's rather harsh message.
