There are increasing rumors that Max Verstappen will not follow the career path of his fellow world champions and could throw in the towel earlier than his competitors.
Verstappen has often stated before that he has many plans outside of F1 and doesn't want to grow old in Formula 1. The Dutch world champion's retention isn't helped by the FIA's continued demagogic tendencies, which began in 2024, whereby drivers are constantly harassed and punished for every little thing... In one of these showcase cases, Max Verstappen was attacked, something the four-time world champion from Red Bull Racing hasn't forgotten to this day:
"Having to deal with things like this definitely affects my vision for the future of Formula 1. Of course, it's a great feeling to win and become world champion, but I also want to feel good about what I'm doing. If I can't be myself because of the FIA's restrictive measures, then I have to work on that particular vision of the future..." Verstappen recently said. He's certainly not alone in his dismal opinion, as the entire driver association is behind him. If you tug on the lion's beard for too long, two things can happen...
