Although Lando Norris failed in the individual battle, his performance on the final lap secured the Constructors' World Championship for McLaren. That's already in the bag, but he's aiming to win the Drivers' Championship as well in 2025...
Norris acknowledges the defeat and also that Max Verstappen was better than him in 2024, but also sees the lesson behind the missed opportunity:
"Coming second, losing the chance to win, is always painful, but—this may sound strange—I'm also happy that I'm approaching 2025 knowing I can fight. I know myself, my strengths, my limits; no one knows better than me where I need to improve. There are areas where I'm strong and those where I'm not so strong. I'm open to criticism and willing to improve where necessary.
Last year, my qualifying performance wasn't the best, but this year I was almost twice as good and collected a lot of pole positions. This year, I didn't have that extra something to beat Max Verstappen, to be able to fight against him. But I definitely felt that he's only human, and if I work on my technique here and there, I can definitely say I have the strength to beat him.

I feel like I've been close to achieving strong results in recent races. I hope that 2025 will be a year where I can fight for the world championship title from the very first race!" Norris declared resolutely.
