The season-opening Australian Grand Prix is fast approaching, and things aren't going according to plan at Red Bull. At least, that's what the team's technical director's recent statement suggests.
Pierre Wache reported that they are somewhat disappointed with the progress they have made. It seems to be significantly less than that of their major rivals, and the car isn't really performing the way they want it to and as they originally expected.
"The first day of testing was fine, in my opinion. However, from the second day onward, some issues arose that prevented us from finding the right operating range. This fundamentally determines our competitiveness. This is a serious problem right now... I think the opening day will be very close, as McLaren and Ferrari are faster than us," Wache said optimistically despite the difficult situation.
