George Russell believes the 2025 season could end badly as Lando Norris and his team have an advantage never seen before in the sport.
The Briton believes that even when Max Verstappen won almost every race of the season, there wasn't such a big lead...
"The current McLaren team is clearly capable of winning any race. They have a strong duo, I think they could, but life will always get in the way anyway... Anyway, I've never seen such a big advantage; they're stronger than Red Bull Racing ever was. Back then, you knew you had virtually no chance of beating him on your own with Max in that car. The season is long, so hopefully there will be times when things don't go their way, and we have to take advantage of those opportunities."
Unfortunately, they're clearly doing something better than the other competitors in the field, and the difference is especially noticeable when the tires start to warm up. They've nailed something incredibly well there; they can make a huge difference. Of course, we'll continue to improve, but overall, I don't think we'll be able to challenge them on our own." George Russell painted a sad picture of the future.
