Ralf Schumacher is certain that Max Verstappen will no longer drive for Red Bull Racing next year, and he stands by this opinion, even if he is sued for it.
The reason is not even Red Bull’s poor performance this year, you have to dig much deeper to understand what the German is saying:
"It is absolutely clear that Max Verstappen will only stay at Red Bull for a certain period of time. This is not due to the car's poor performance; rather, the new engine project has strained the relationship between the driver and the team. And then there are the power struggles... But Mercedes and Aston Martin with Honda could be familiar terrain for Max. There he knows what to expect. Meanwhile, there will be further difficulties at Red Bull, for example with the engine electronics and the gradual erosion of the team. There is constant tension between Christian Horner and Helmut Marko, which leads to nothing good, even a blind person can see that. Max Verstappen hates that and flees from it. That's the way it is, even if Horner sues me for my opinion.
Toto Wolff also has his eye on him at the moment, as he already missed out on Verstappen once, and that turned out to be a huge mistake. But Max won't be going to Mercedes, but to Aston Martin. Either Fernando Alonso or Lance Stroll would have to leave early to make room for him, but the Greens will sort that out."
