Ralf Schumacher simply thinks what's happening at Scuderia Ferrari is a joke. One of the most storied teams fighting for the World Championship made mistakes this weekend that would be laughed at even in the lower junior series.
As a result, both drivers of the team were disqualified after the Chinese Grand Prix, which, according to Schumacher, will have serious consequences:
"To put it mildly, Charles Leclerc was missing an element of his car. This missing part weighed two kilos, which definitely should have been taken into account, and besides... At this level of engineering, you should already be planning with a safety margin. This is nothing short of pure incompetence. Lewis Hamilton's case is unfortunately much worse and raises even more serious questions. After Saturday's sprint race, they should have known how badly the floorboard was worn. And then what happened... I believe this will have serious repercussions, personal consequences!
Such a mistake cannot be accepted. Their pace was good enough to complete a great weekend, but what they did on Sunday was simply ridiculous, unacceptable, not Ferrari-level. They shouldn't be aiming to become world champions with a performance like that," Schumacher expressed his devastating but justified opinion.
