Until now, a crowd of visitors never before seen or experienced is "expected" at Fiorano for Lewis Hamilton's first test with Ferrari. According to one expert author, Italian police are concerned, believing this situation poses a serious security risk...
Journalist Roberto Chinchero spoke in an F1 podcast about the need to prepare for incredibly tumultuous scenes in Maranello and Fiorano. Chinchero probably speaks for a reason; as a local, he knows the temperament of the Tifosi and the Italian people in general well. He is not alone in his concern:
"Scuderia Ferrari fans in Italy have been waiting since the very first moments for Lewis Hamilton to get into a red car. I really can't imagine what awaits us in Maranello and Fiorano. There will be an incredible number of people on the streets, which in a sense also poses a safety risk. The local police are not calm, which I can completely understand; they will be put to the test. Of course, none of this is surprising; the media has played a big part in this, and not just the car/motorsport magazines.

The mainstream is constantly focusing on Hamilton, which has increased the already considerable interest..." - said Chinchero.
