Sprint qualifying continued the Qatar Grand Prix program, where there wasn't much news under the sun: Lando Norris secured pole position in sprint qualifying!
In SQ1, Lando Norris and George Russell alternated at the front, followed by the Scuderia Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc. After the final fast laps of the section, Norris's dominance persisted, allowing him to finish at the top, while those eliminated—in the case of the first name, we can safely say it was no surprise—were Sergio Perez, Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, Guanyu Zhou, and Franco Colapinto.

After the first attempts in SQ2, the previous trend continued, meaning McLaren was under heavy pressure. The difference was that Oscar Piastri was now in the lead, just a hair ahead of Leclerc and Norris. Ultimately, this dominant role remained, with only George Russell able to intervene, forming the trio of Norris, Russell, and Piastri. However, Liam Lawson, Fernando Alonso, Alexander Albon, Valtteri Bottas, and Lance Stroll were unable to advance, allowing them to begin preparations for Saturday's main program early.

In SQ3, not many questions remained unanswered: Lando Norris and McLaren completed this part of the weekend quickly and easily secured pole position ahead of George Russell and Oscar Piastri.
