Andrea Stella is somewhat torn by the Lewis Hamilton story: On the one hand, he likes that the seven-time world champion is looking for a new challenge, but on the other hand, as one of the main rivals, he'll make sure the Italians don't have their fun. He thinks he'll succeed!
Stella is passionate about the sport, which is also reflected in the fact that, despite his position as team boss of a major rival, he has eagerly followed Lewis Hamilton's first steps at Ferrari:
"As an outsider, I observed the events, and I can safely say that I think this was a truly great debut for Lewis. I consider myself a Formula 1 fan, having worked at Scuderia Ferrari for a long time, so I can't deny that I followed the events with excitement. It was pure sporting history, with a seven-time world champion moving to a team with the greatest traditions in F1.
It's an incredible story, but there's another aspect that Lewis and Ferrari know very well. Ultimately, all that matters is what happens on the track, and they are our rivals. We respect them and eagerly follow their work together, but we only want one thing: to make their lives as difficult as possible and then beat them. There's no turning back, and with the utmost respect, we will break Ferrari's enthusiasm!" Andrea Stella said with great respect, but even greater motivation.
