Daniel Ricciardo is having a very difficult time these days. The Australian is very slow at the wheel of the otherwise very competitive Racing Bull and is being spectacularly beaten by Yuki Tsunoda.
What's truly embarrassing is the fact that he's taking a far bigger beating than the recently sacked Nyck de Vries ever did before... It's not just the fans who are upset, and the pundits are reportedly starting to think about Ricciardo's future. If rumors from the paddock are to be believed, Helmut Marko is already sweating over the otherwise likeable driver's 'performance' and has reportedly given him an ultimatum. If he's beaten by Tsunoda for the fourth time in four races at the Japanese Grand Prix—which, admittedly, is entirely possible against a driver cheered on by the home crowd—then he'll go down, then he'll go up. It doesn't help Daniel Ricciardo that Liam Lawson is also on the prowl, claiming a seat for himself after his outstanding run last year. If "all goes well," he'll have it soon...
Will the Japanese Grand Prix be Ricciardo's survival?
