Driver solidarity against the stupidity of the FIA

Zusammenhalt der Fahrer gegen die Dummheiten der FIA

Did you know that a driver who violates the start protocol is fined X, while another who swears is fined double? This has upset the drivers' union collectively!

The international motor racing federation has been a bit over the top lately, and this has caused discontent not only among fans. The drivers' union, led by George Russell, has sent an open letter to the FIA president:
"We are professional drivers competing in Formula 1, the pinnacle of international motorsport. We are gladiators and offer the fans a special show every race weekend. When it comes to obscene language, there's a huge difference between using rude language to hurt someone and using crude language to describe, for example, the weather, our lifeless car, or a racing situation.

"We would therefore like to ask the President of the FIA, Mohammed ben Sulayem, to consider his tone and language when speaking to us or about us, whether in a private conversation or a public forum. We are adults who do not need to be instructed by the media, especially not in such mundane matters as what to say or what we should or should not wear..." - these are the clear words of Russell and Co.
